Art Trail Success
23rd November 2010
The 2010 Front Room Art Trail turned out to be a great success with many visitors flocking to the participating houses and venues of Totterdown to view and experience all manner of art.
Our first year of entry in this event, it was great to see the good number of people (including other trail exhibitors) who visited our exhibition, with a steady flow of visitors on the Saturday and an even better attendance on Sunday. This did of course more than make up for the slightly more modest attendance figure of just one (thanks to that man for turning up) on Friday night, although we were told not to expect too many on the opening night anyway!
The main themes of my photography this year were Coast and Arnos Vale Cemetery with a brief prelude to the project I'm working on at the Somerdale factory site.
Perhaps word had got out that mulled cider and spanish stew were being served up (by Tim Owen), with visitors seemingly enjoying the chilled out ambience which was further enhanced on Sunday by some guitar courtesy of Neil Hutchins.
Thanks to Theresa and Tim for allowing me to exhibit in their house.
Next year, anyone?
Just set up and awaiting a visitor...

A musical interlude

The visitors flock in

Outside with pig's head lantern above bay window

That pig's head again...
